My players hit the main platform of the excavator yesterday as Hellion threw everything against them including Kulgara, Draigs and the Dark Creeper types. I played the sound a chainsaw a one round before she turned up. She was demolishing the party with her attacks until a three move combo killed her outright:
- Broktha used action surge to pelt Kulgara with 3 grenades bringing her into bloody state
- Charisma used magic missile to target the 2 of the 3 grenades on Kulgara’s belt and detonating them (taking out Tufast in the process). This dropped Kulgara to 40 or so hit points.
- Then Rikku scored a critical hit AND a sneak attack doing 41 damage taking her out.
Broktha immodestly claimed the chainsword as his own.

Aggressive. As a bonus action, Kulgara can move up to his speed toward a hostile creature that he can see.
Hellion’s Fury. Kulgara deals an extra 4 (1d8) damage when he hits with a weapon attack (included in the attacks).
Brave. Kulgara has advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Brute. A melee weapon deals one extra die of its damage when Kulgara hits with it (included in the attack).
Multiattack. Kulgara can make three melee attacks or two ranged attacks.
Chainsword. Melee Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 22 (4d6 + 10) slashing damage.
Battle Cry (1/Day). Each creature of Kulgara’s choice that is within 30 feet of him, can hear him, and not already affected by Battle Cry gain advantage on attack rolls until the start of Kulgara ‘s next turn. Kulgara can then make one attack as a bonus action.
Parry. Kulgara adds 3 to his AC against one melee attack that would hit him. To do so, Kulgara must see the attacker and be wielding a melee weapon.
