TIMEWORN LYCHGUARD DISPERSION SHIELD

The phased energy force barriers projected by a dispersion shield can be used to fend off close combat attacks with ease, including blows from weapons such as Power Fists and Power Weapons that would otherwise smite a lesser foe. Dispersion shields are also capable of deflecting incoming enemy fire using the advanced force generators built into the device.
The Lychguard appears as a bulky bracelet covered in blinking blue lights and pulsing holographic emitters. The bracelet produces a translucent but substantial holographic barrier when activated that looks like a shield used by elite Necron units. As a reaction you can trigger shield and an invisible barrier of technological force appears and protects you. Until the start of your next turn, you have a +5 bonus to AC, including against the triggering attack, and you take no damage from magic missile. Each use of the Lychguard drains a single charge (capacity 20, current 11, DC 27 to identify).
When turned off, a hard light shield provides no AC bonus and imposes no penalties. This item occupies the wearer’s wrist slot.
