These creatures didn’t actually pose a real threat against a level 15 party… however… the nature of the encounter – characters need the spiders web to get across the smashed bridge. The spiders can climb over and under the stairs and can also leap onto a party traveling single file posed other issues. This was also when the group discovered their magic items were no longer magical. All weapons lost their “plusses” and were not considered magical weapons for the purposes of bypassing damage reduction resulting in another obstacle for the characters to get past. Which they did in the end.
After driving off the spiders they crossed the web by using the spell freedom of movement on the monk who then stuffed the rest of the players into a bag of holding (while Rikki used her magic watch to transform into a large spider and just walked across). The remaining spider emerged and attacked but since the monk – Sylvanus – knew she was on a clock (there is only so much air in a bag of holding) she rushed past. She also didnt want to risk getting thrown off.
Ahh … the Planes causing problems for adventurers since 1972!

Warped by Evil. These spiders are currently still suffering 6 points of Constitution drain, and their warped bodies have lower than normal Dexterity. The same mutations grant a +2 bonus to natural armour, damage reduction, and regeneration. All of these modifications are included in the stats above.
Prodigious Leap. Fiend-touched spider’s long jump is up to 40 feet and its high jump is up to 20 feet when it has a running start. It may use this as part of its attack action and if it does so it may add an extra die of damage to its attack.
Regeneration. The fiend-touched spider regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn. If the fiend-touched spider takes radiant damage, this trait doesn’t function at the start of the spider’s next turn.
Spider Climb. The fiend-touched spider can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.
Web Sense. While in contact with a web, the fiend-touched spider knows the exact location of any other creature in contact with the same web.
Web Walker. The fiend-touched spider ignores movement restrictions caused by webbing.
ACTIONS
Multiattack. The fiend-touched spider makes two bite attacks and may use Web when available.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +10 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature.
Hit: 14 (1d8 +7) piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw, taking 9 (2d8) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the poison damage reduces the target to 0 hit points, the target is stable but poisoned for 1 hour, even after regaining hit points, and is paralysed while poisoned in this way.
Web (Recharge 5-6}. Ranged Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, range 60 ft., one creature.
Hit: The target is restrained by webbing. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 15 Strength check, bursting the webbing on a success. The webbing can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; vulnerability to fire damage; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).
DESCRIPTION
This towering spider is the size of an elephant. Its legs have spiky joints and its face looks vaguely, but disturbingly, humanoid. It has a fiendish connotation about it and an almost evil intelligence to its attacks.
