XENOS: THE WATCHFUL

I essentially created a cut-down version of Paajget with some extra abilities inspired by the monster entry in the adventure.  In reality, they would have just been road-humps to the party.

THE WATCHFUL
Dark Eldar Witch
Medium fey (dark eldar), lawful evil

Armour Class 17 (natural plus shield)
Hit Points 145 (17d8 + 68)
Speed 30ft.

STR 18 (+4)        DEX 15 (+2)       CON 18 (+4)
INT 11 (+0)         WIS 12 (+1)        CHA 14 (+2)

Saving Throws Con +7, Wis +4, Cha +5
Damage Resistances cold; bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from non magical weapons
Damage Immunities fire, poison
Condition Immunities poisoned
Senses darkvision 120ft., passive Perception 11
Languages Eldarian, telepathy 100ft.
Challenge 6 (2,300 XP)

Dark Devotion. The Watchful have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.

Eldar’s Sight. Magical darkness doesn’t impede the The Watchful’s darkvision.

Shadow Traveler. When an ostiarius (The Watchful’s true nature) uses plane shift to travel to the Plane of Shadow, it arrives at its intended destination with complete accuracy. When an ostiarius uses shadow walk, it moves at 100 miles per hour.

Unnerving Gaze. When a creature that can see the ostiarius’s eyes starts its turn within 30 feet of the ostiarius, the ostiarius can force it to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw if the ostiarius isn’t incapacitated and can see the creature. If the saving throw fails the creature is frightened for 1 minute.

Innate Spellcasting. The Watchful’s innate spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 15). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no components:

At will: darkness, silence
1/day each: plane shift (self only and one other willing Lawful Evil creature to the Plane of Shadow or the Material Plane only)

ACTIONS
Multiattack. The Watchful makes three melee attacks.

Bleeding Touch. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5ft., one target.
Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) necrotic damage and The Watchful heals the same amount.

Compel Courage (Once per long or short rest). For 1 minute, The Watchful can recite a darkly heroic poem (or similar) granting non hostile creatures that it can see within 30 feet of it advantage on attack rolls and saving throws vs charm and fear and +1 damage per die of the creatures attack roll. The ostiarius’s performance compels creatures to perform at dangerous extremes and unwilling creatures may make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw to ignore the affects of this special ability. Any living non-outsider that benefits from this ability takes 1 point of necrotic damage for each action it attacks while under the effect of Compel Courage. A creature that accepts these benefits for multiple consecutive rounds gains additional points of necrotic damage that stack with one another.  This effect ends if the Watchful is incapacitated.

Shout (Once per long or short rest).   The Watchful emit an ear-splitting yell that deafens and damages creatures in its path. Any creature within the area is deafened for 1 minute and takes 18 (5d6) points of thunder damage. A successful save negates the deafness and reduces the damage by half. Any exposed brittle or crystalline object or crystalline creature takes double damage. An affected creature is allowed a DC 15 Constitution save to reduce the damage by half, and a creature holding fragile objects can negate damage to them with a successful DC 15 Dexterity save. The Watchful’s shout cannot penetrate a silence spell.

REACTIONS
Passive Shield. The Watchful gains the benefit of a permanent shield spell effect increasing its armour class by 5 and allowing it to cancel one magic missile attack as a reaction.

DESCRIPTION
Marked by excessive tattooing and other body decorations, every curve and sculpted muscle of this “android” suggests some new gasping pleasure or titillating torture. Unlike others of its kind who tend to have dead eyes, this creature’s eye glints with mischievousness.
