Goatscorpion

Working my way through Vornheim.  Some clever ideas here for running a city campaign.  But what spiked my curiosity were the unique takes on some monsters and some of the unique monsters.  Can definitely imagine using these in my 5e OSR game.

Goat’s head, giant scorpion’s body. It despises innocence and will attack the most virtuous party member first.

Mythical Magic Resistance. Any spell cast by a level 8 or lower spellcaster automatically fails when targeting the goatscorpion, otherwise, the goatscorpion has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Actions
Multiattack. The goatscorpion makes four attacks: two with its pincers and two with its sting. Alternatively, it makes two attacks with its pincers and uses vile black fluid.
Pincer. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 2d10 + 4 bludgeoning damage. If the target is a Medium or smaller creature, it is grappled (escape DC 15). The goatscorpion has two pincers, each of which can grapple only one target.
Sting. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d10 + 4 piercing damage, and the target must make a DC 16 Constitution saving throw, taking 6d10 poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Vile Black Fluid. The goatscorpion spits vile black fluid in a line that is 30 feet long and 5 feet wide. Each creature in that line must make a DC 16 Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d6 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. The target takes an additional 1d6 necrotic damage per selfless deed the target has performed in the last week.

Note: If the goatscorpion is made to sting itself, it is vulnerable to its own poison.
