Description:
Sheeta is a young girl with a very special stone. The stone makes her the objective of government agents and pirates who the power that the stone will give them. Sheeta escapes and is befriended by Pazu, a boy from a mining town who is aware of Sheeta's Levistone only as a jewel with mysterious powers, and not as a key to the treasures held in the legendary Laputa. A great advanture movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki. (It's been rumored that "Nadia: Secret of Blue Water" was based partially on "Laputa").

Sheeta	(Lusheeta Toelle Ul Laputa) Voice: Yokozawa Keiko
	Sheeta (13) came from the picturesque town of Gondoa. After her parents' death, Sheeta inherited and took care of the family estate. Her most precious possession is a pendant which has been passed down for generations to the female members of her family. It is usually kept well hidden, only to be worn in special occasions like her mother's wedding. The pendant possesses unusual powers...
Pazu	Voice: Tanaka Mayumi
	Pazu (13) is an orphan living in the mining town of Slagg's Ravine. He works as trainee of Mr.Daffi, a machine operator in one of the mines. Pazu lives alone in a house overlooking the valley. He plays the trumpet (mostly early in the morning, much to the dismay of the village people I suppose :) and he's fond of pigeons. But flying is his consuming passion, just like his late father. Pazu's dream is to build a flying machine that would take him to Laputa and prove that his father wasn't lying about its existence.
Mooska	(Romooska Paro Ul Laputa) Voice:
	Mooska is the government's special secret agent sent to look for Laputa and its treasures. But he has a sinister hidden motive of his own, which not even his own agents know about. To fulfill his ambition for Laputa, he relies heavily on a notebook containing ancient writings about Laputa which was passed on to him by his ancestors.
Dola Gang	Voice:
	The Dola gang are air pirates lead by Dola, who also happens to be the mother of 3 members of the gang (Shalulu [voice actor Kamiyama Takumi], Lui [voice actor Yasuhara Yoshito] and Anli [voice actor Kameyama Sukekiyo]). The other 6 members of the gang are: Ka (Portugal), Ki (Egypt), Ku (China), Ke (Japan), Ko (Senegal?) and machine operator Motro. Their pirate ship is the TigerMoth, a propeller-driven helium-filled airship made mostly of cloth. Dola is a strong-willed woman, in contrast to her pirate sons, who never outgrow their adolescence. (It's once said that the character of Dola is similar to that of Miyazaki's mother, who was also a strong-willed and strict woman) The Dola gang, like the army, is after the treasures of Laputa.
General Muoro	Voice: Nagai Ichirou
No Picture	Commander of Tedis Army Fortress. About 50 years old. In charge of the army's search for Laputa.
Uncle Pom	Voice: TSUNEDA Fujio
	70-year old miner and friend of Pazu's. Knowledgeable about rocks and knows about legends of Laputa and the properties of Sheetas pendant.
Robot	(Clockwork Warrior) Voice: --
	Semi-organic robots built by Laputans. It's activated by the levitation stone and obeys only the initial holder of the stone. Different models can perform different duties: battle robots, guardian robots, gardeners. The two lights in between its eyes are used for telepathic communication with human beings. Battle robots are armed with powerful laser-like weapons and are equipped for flying.
