From within their cyber-sarcophagi, the ancient and insidious legions of the Necron race rise from their eternal sleep for purposes known only to themselves. All that is known is that the victims of their unexpected attacks are either killed, dismembered or captured for purposes which must surely be worse than death. These robotic warriors are one of the mysteries of the galaxy and their threatening agenda won't be a secret forever... You can use the information in the T20 handbook on robot creation to create Necron NPCs and/or the varies constructs in the MM and MM2. Click here to see some artwork.. Necron Warrior The skeletal form of a Necron warrior is a spine-chilling sight, as bullets and lasblasts bounce harmlessly from its metallic limbs. The gause flayer which it wields is no less terrifying, as it strips its target atom by atom; in a heartbeat it dissolves skin, muscle and then disintegrates bone until nothing remains. This creature looks like a withered and desiccated corpse, with features hidden beneath centuries-old funereal wrappings. It moves with a slow, shambling gait and groans with the weight of the ages. These horrid creatures are often marked with symbols of the dire sun-gods they serve. Necron Warriors attack intruders without pause or mercy. They never attempt to communicate with their enemies and never retreat. An encounter with a warrior can end only with the destruction of one combatant or the other (unless the Warriors' foe elects to retreat). All Necron Warriors stand 185cm tall and weigh about 240 pounds. Warriors can speak Gothic, but seldom bother to do so. Combat In melee combat, a mummy delivers a powerful blow from either its fists or its Gauss Flayer which can also be used as an axe like weapon. Even if it had no other abilities, its great strength and grim determination would make it a formidable opponent. Despair (Su): At the mere sight of a Necron, the viewer must succeed on a DC 16 Will save or be paralyzed with fear for 1d4 rounds. Whether or not the save is successful, that creature cannot be affected again by the same Necron's despair ability for 24 hours. The save DC is Charisma-based. Gauss Flayer (Su): Gauss weapons are horrifying devices that can strip a target down molecule by molecule and reduce it to its constituent atoms in a matter of seconds. Use the standard Gauss Rifle statistics in T20 pg. 200. Regeneration (Ex): Electricity and Acid do normal damage to a Necron and will no regenerate this damage. It may re-attach lost limbs. Unless killed with acid or electrical based attack it will reform in 1d4 minutes. It regenerates 5 hp a round. Possessions: Gauss Flayer (Will have limited number of charges left before re-use, usually 1d4. The Imperium does not have the technological ability to recharge these weapons).
Necron Immortal The Immortals were among the most favored Necrontyr servants of C'tan, and were the first of their kind to give up their cursed, fleshy bodies, to become the soulless Necrons. Implacable metal giants, the luster of their gleaming bodies has been eroded by the ravages of time. Fleshless metal skulls strike fear into the hearts of their foes and the eerie silence of their advance is more unnerving than a bloodthirsty battle cry. Despair (Su): The save DC against this Immortal's despair is 17. Gauss Blaster (Su): Use the standard Gauss Rifle statistics in T20 pg. 200 but assume each shot is Amour Piercing +1. Regeneration (Ex): Electricity and Acid do normal damage to a Necron and will no regenerate this damage. It may re-attach lost limbs. Unless killed with acid or electrical based attack it will reform in 1d4 minutes. It regenerates 6 hp a round. Possessions: Gauss Blaster (Will have limited number of charges left before re-use, usually 1d4. The Imperium does not have the technological ability to recharge these weapons), cloak of resistance +2, ring of minor energy resistance (fire), brooch of shielding. (Different Immortals may have different possessions.)
