ASH GIANT

PCs didn’t end up fighting this fella – he was acting as a bodyguard for Silus.  He escaped with his life.  Just like the lost giant random encounter in Scar of the Spider – never shall the twain meet (my PCs and these giants).  Untested.

Disease. While ash giants are immune to disease, they carry a contagious form of leprosy. Any creature struck by an ash giant’s attacks is exposed to this virulent sickness.

Ash Leprosy: This disease causes puss filled sores to appear on the creatures’ body that form festering wounds once they erupt.   The creatures hit point maximum is reduced by 1 per day until they receive a lesser restoration spell (or equivalent) as well as disadvantage on all Charisma based skill checks.   A DC 16 Medicine check will also heal the leprosy after 10 success (one per day maximum).

Vermin Empathy. Ash giant have an affinity for vermin, in particular those made up of swarming creatures. Swarms of vermin obey ash giants.

ACTIONS
Multiattack. The giant makes two huge bone pick attacks.

Huge Bone Pick. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10ft., one target.
Hit: 28 (6d6 + 7) piercing damage plus ash leprosy (DC 16 Constitution to avoid infection).

Sweeping Strike (Natural 17+). Bundur sweeps his bone pick in front of him making a huge bone pick attack against everyone in melee range and pushing them back 20 feet on a hit. The target must make a DC 16 Strength or Dexterity check or fall prone.

Rock. Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, range 60/240 ft., one target.
Hit: 29 (4d10 + 7) bludgeoning damage.

DESCRIPTION
Towering above a typical human, this misshapen giant’s pale flesh is covered in purulent sores and bulbous tumors. Ash giants were once common hill giants until the Rain of Stars turned Nimmeria into an apocalyptic wasteland. The long exposure to radiation has made them bigger and stronger but also cursed with a disease called ash leprosy.
