wasteling

The template is part of my conversion of “Dawn of the Overmind“.  Its a result of the successful casting of the vivamancy spell.

WASTELING TEMPLATE

A humanoid can become a wasteling. When a creature becomes a wasteling, it retains all its statistics except as noted below.

Abilities. The creatures Wisdom and Charisma scores are reduced to 1. The spell hollows out the creature and it is under the complete control of its creator. However, it retains its intelligence allowing it to function without micro-management from the creature that dominates it though it will still need orders to do anything it does not necessarily need guidance in executing those orders.

Challenge. There is no change in the challenge rating of a creature with this template.

Trait. It gains the following new trait and accompanying actions.

Enraged. The wasteling becomes enraged when ordered to by its creator or when it has no other way to attack. The sharp teeth and hardened claws remain hidden until enraged is triggered.

Enraged Multiattack (Enraged Only). The wasteling makes three melee attacks – one with its bite and two with its claws.

Bite (Enraged Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target.
Hit: 13 (2d8 + 4) piercing damage.

Claws. (Enraged Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature.
Hit: 14 (3d6 + 4) slashing damage.

Sample Wasteling

Here the wasteling template has been applied to a gith veteran to create a wasteling fighter. When a wastelings creator is killed the wasteling collapses as if it was a marionette and its strings had been cut.
