IMPROVED FAMILIAR+ (PF1)

IMPROVED FAMILIAR+

This feat allows you to acquire a powerful familiar, but only when you could normally acquire a new familiar.

Prerequisites: Ability to acquire a new familiar, compatible alignment, sufficiently high level (see below), improved familiar.

Benefit: You may take any sentient creature as a familiar; however, the creature’s CR must be at least one level lower than your class level. There also must be a narrative cause/reason for taking a familiar that arose naturally during the game (GM’s discretion). The familiar+ gains the benefits of a standard familiar, and the creature gains levels whenever his/her master gains a level, but can never be equal or higher level than you. These levels should be appropriate to the creature (for example, a yeti would take levels in barbarian).
